Every Nivaas piece is sourced from Indian craft clusters — from the looms of Bhagalpur to the potters of Khurja. We work in small batches so nothing feels mass-made, and everything feels like it belongs.

Indian furnishing sizes vary wildly between brands. Here is exactly what every Nivaas piece measures — in inches and centimetres.

Always measure the mattress, not the bed frame. Our sheets are pre-shrunk with a 3% allowance already built into the cut.
Fabric & care notes
Natural fibres behave differently from polyester. A minute of care keeps them looking new for years.
- Cotton bedsheets
- 200–400 TC combed cotton — machine wash cold, tumble dry low
- Handloom cotton
- Slub texture is intentional; wash separately for the first three washes
- Block print (Bagru)
- Natural dyes — cold hand wash, dry in shade to hold the colour
- Linen
- Softens with every wash; a light crease is the fabric, not a flaw
- Velvet cushion covers
- Dry clean or spot clean only — never wring or twist
- Towels
- 500–600 GSM — skip the fabric softener, it kills absorbency
- Curtains
- Blackout lining available; steam on low, never press the coated side
- Shrinkage
- Pre-shrunk, up to 3% after the first wash — allowance built into every cut
- Dyes
- AZO-free and low-impact; wash darks separately the first time

Fabric, fit & delivery
Our dyes are AZO-free and colour-fixed, but hand-block prints can release a little excess dye at first. Wash them separately in cold water for the first two or three washes and the colour settles for good.
Measure the mattress, not the bed frame. A 5 × 6.5 ft mattress takes our Queen and a 6 × 6.5 ft takes King — the size guide above lists every dimension in both inches and centimetres.
Close, but never identical. Slubs, small weave variations and slight colour shifts are the signature of a hand-woven piece — they are not defects, and they are why no two are quite the same.
Return anything unwashed and with tags within 7 days for a full refund. We arrange a free reverse pickup across most Indian pin codes, and a GST invoice is emailed with every order.
